Refineries and petrochemical plants run on a discipline most software never meets: every reading logged, every change reviewed, every decision owned by a person whose name is on it. We are practicing engineers from that world, based in Lake Charles, and we brought the discipline with us. Powered Metrics builds AI that works the way a good control room does: it moves fast, but nothing happens without a signature, and everything that happens is on the record.
Powered Metrics is led by its founders, engineers with real experience in the industries we serve.

Jacob is a chemical engineer who has spent his career where the work actually happens: refineries and petrochemical plants. He has worked on process operations, safety systems, process control, instrumentation, and reliability, so he understands both the plant floor and the bigger business decisions above it. At Powered Metrics, he turns messy operating data into clear answers using tools like Power BI, Python, process models, and AI, with one aim: safer, more reliable, more profitable operations.

Emily is a mechanical engineer with an MBA in Financial Analytics and a background in maintenance, reliability, and process improvement across petrochemical manufacturing. She has served on business process efficiency teams, working hand in hand with operations, maintenance, and site leadership to make equipment more reliable and daily work less manual. She is a technical authority in Power BI and digital automation, and pairs that with the financial fluency to tie operational change to the numbers that matter. At Powered Metrics, she turns scattered operational information into organized, useful insight, and is especially good at translating a complex technical problem into a clear plan a team can act on.
This is one of the most industrially dense regions in the country. Refining, petrochemicals, LNG, and the whole economy of businesses that keeps them running: contractors and fabricators, and also the hotels, restaurants, and clinics that keep the people running.
We started Powered Metrics on a conviction that came straight from that work: the rigor the biggest operations pay millions for is now, with AI applied carefully, within reach of a business of almost any size.
Carefully is the load-bearing word. We did not build AI that replaces your judgment. We built AI that reports to it, and keeps the receipts.
Our work fits a wide range of organizations, not just the largest plants.
Energy, refining, petrochemical, LNG, and manufacturing facilities that run on process, safety, and margin.
The contractors, suppliers, fabricators, logistics, and service companies that keep those operations moving.
Smaller and growing companies that deserve the same caliber of analytics and AI the giants buy, sized and priced for them.
We start with the call you're trying to make, then pick the tools. Never the other way around.
Everything we deliver is documented, repeatable, and easy to check, to the standard a serious buyer expects.
You get the code, the documentation, and the know-how to run it yourself after we're done. No lock-in.
We learned this work inside refineries and plants, not just from textbooks. We know what holds up when the pressure is on.
We build on AWS and Microsoft 365 and work toward SOC 2 standards, the same footing your larger partners already trust.
The person who scopes your project is the person who delivers it. We keep engagements focused enough to keep it that way.
If a project doesn't need AI, we'll tell you. If a spreadsheet beats a dashboard, we'll say so. Honest advice is the whole point.
Whether your project is well defined or still taking shape, the first step is the same: a short talk to see if we're a fit.
